Re: Gun Dipping Metro Area?

It's a couple camo benellis. I've got guns in birdsong T, looking for basic Camo dip. Someone suggested Wynnes Custom Coatings in Pearl.

Re: Question For The Board

Less is best. The older I get, the less I take to a blind. Bare basics - decoys, calls, Gun, jacket, dog. Internet makes it easy - google earth, scouting reports, directions, cheap hotel rates, draws, permits and licenses, and with all of the forums, Internet companies and everything else, places li...

Re: Mcalister gear

The Filson waterfowl was too light for my tasteand was snap front instead zipper. The one I liked best features-wise only came in tan. Going to miss the front load and around back game pockets, but the green tin ought to do the trick.

Re: Mcalister gear

After my original mcalister wax coat died on me last year with 10 seasons and probably 5 tins of Filson wax on it I got a Filson green tin field coat. Wouldn't look back or even think about getting the paper thin drake coat. Crackhead - how's that jacket fit, comfortable to shoot in? Went to order ...

Re: What to plant?

(1) Flood and roll with it. (2) lightly disc and impound with water for a couple weeks, the draw down for a couple weeks. Repeat, Twice if possible. Invertebrate bloom.

Re: The Last Shotgun I'm ever Gonna Buy!

Am partial to benellis, been shooting them since forever, but if bought another gun today it'd be the Winchester Super X3. Smooth as silk and that gas operation really dampens recoil.

I've not shot a purple gallinule period but would like to. Just to say I had hunted them.

Re: new proposed limits for south america

It's being proposed, by outside interests of course, that lead shot be banned. http://www.getducks.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/IMG_5397.jpg . Speaking of outside interests, it's widely accepted among Argentina outfitters that Dutch antis have funded (bribed) their officials for the biol...

Bankermane

Cleaning out the garage the other day, ran across a small sack of magnum burlaped Herters. Bankermane was one of the old-time regulars. I met him personally the first time when he had a garage cleaning of his own and gave away these decoys and some other things, but we later hunter together locally ...
