Re: Mack's waders

Had Big Ditch 3.5s...worst waders I have ever owned and worst customer service I have ever come across. I would not recommend them.

+1

Ive had 2 pairs of BIg Ditch waders. First pair dry rotted in the boot at about 14 months. Macks wouldnt replace them but gave me $75 credit on another pair ...

I would never recommend anything made by ROCKY . We have had them available in our uniforms for years. They have nearly ruined my feet. Suffered from plantar faciitis (sp) for over 1.5 years after changing. Still have problems to this day. Their leather boots are awful. I have a pair of ROCKY ...

You ought to consider the Yamaha Bruin 350 4x4 . I have a 2004 and have had no problems at all (and I use it regularly). Give 'em a look before you decide. I wont argue who has the best (most all of them do well, everyone gets a bad one now and then).

You are probably like me, not into the ego ...

It will average 8-12 inches.

Beware there are a couple of north to south running levees (impoundments 1, 2, & 3 maybe others too) that have some 3 ft.+ deep water on either side where the previous landowner pulled some material back on top of the levees. But the levees running east and west are ...

Smoked Canvasback! Um um good!

I had a canvasback breast left in the freezer (one of only 2 I have ever killed), and put it on the grill yesterday while smoking a wild hog ham. Also, threw some dove breast on there too.

I've heard it said that Cans are really good table fare (maybe the best). I'm hear to tell you . . . they ...

I have a drake Can that Phillip Hewitt did for me last year. It is my favorite duck mount. Phillip is the BEST in MS.

Not exactly on the thread topic, but what is the best way to secure a duck from the blind to the taxidermy. I have heard panythose, newspaper, etc. Just curious.

Don't wrap in newspaper if your not going to get imediately to the taxidermist. Paper will not perform as well to protect from ...

But, until then, I'm just glad to have the opportunity to go see a place with lots of ducks. And, we killed some on every trip .

You must be one of those that doesn't report his kills then. MDWFP weekly waterfowl report shows an average of 1.3 ducks per hunter killed on Howard Miller for the ...

I'm patient and willing to wait.

You can only hunt there on certain days, I don't think you have that much time!

I'm referring to the fact that this property was just acquired by the MDWFP this summer and I'm willing to be patient to allow the cover to grow (without complaining) in order to ...

Stick with Featherworks. He is worth it. Why would you want to spend less and look like a diving mallard. Phillip knows his ducks.

Within the Wildlife Bureau of the MDWFP we have about 7 or 8 of those Mules 4X4 w/ lift kits on most of them. I have to admit I was skeptical at first, but have been very impressed with it's abilities, despite low RPM's and low speed. It will do an excellent job in the Delta (first hand experience ...
