sunflower dove field
I'm going to make my first attempt at planting a dove field this year, never done it before myself. We have been thinking to do sunflowers on one end of the field and millet in the other but I have no first hand experience planting either for doves. Could use any input on planting dates, seed rates ...

Re: YF Tuna out of Venice
I know this topic is a little old but for future reference John Cole with Southern Catch Outfitters 601-540-5528 is a good option for fishing out of Venice.

16' Monark 50 Mercury
1984 model 16x44 MonArk with a 50 hp Mercury. All decks and floor replaced in the last few years. All the original carpet is gone. Seats are showing some age. Motor runs well but has issue at high rpm, will idle and run up to mid 3000 rpm fine but stumbles around 4000 rpm, this started this duck ...

Re: Trailer tires?
I bought some 8 ply that were a lower end Chinese brand in that size for a trailer I had a few years back that seemed to do a lot better than the original 6 ply. Can't remember the brand but there were only a few 8 ply options in that size. If you can step up to the 225 size I think that opens a lot ...

Re: Drowning in DNF?
Happened just south of the dummy line bridge and boat ramp on the little sunflower Sunday morning. Group of 3 boats, one boat stopped to adjust something in the boat and either hit something when getting back on plane or accidentally hit the throttle, that part i was a little unclear on. All 3 guys ...

Re: Which flea/tick prevention for Dog
There is a heartworm shot that lasts 6 months that some of the vets have now. It keeps me from possibly forgetting a month. If you are in the jackson area briarwood animal clinic has it, I'm sure many others do to but some don't. I think it's called proheart 6 or something like that.

Re: Dog food scams
I feed mine Fromm as well. I buy the basic version that is in the low ~$30 range for a ~30ish lb bag. it helped with some skin issues my dog had. I buy it from hollywood feed and every 12 bag or something like that is free.

Re: Custom ATV Racks/Boxes
Thanks guys. BDeer I have been thinking on something similar to the one you have there but have it where it will sit down on the existing after market back rack and secure into place with some sort of pins for quick removal purposes. The thinking behind this is so that if need be i can haul stuff ...

Re: Custom ATV Racks/Boxes
Built out of 3/4 inch square tube, 1x1x1/8 angle, and 1/2" expanded metal
the rear rack mounts directly to the frame instead of to the racks so I can support more weight
also have another set of racks that slip into receivers on the main rack that hold a pirogue up top
used plywood on the bottom ...

I shot a couple boxes of 2 3/4" 1 1/8oz #4 last year. They worked great for me. They are certainly cheaper than the competition but still not cheap. I'm sure ill buy a few boxes again this year
