question for Pondman or anybody else that knows

Catching good crappie in a large local pond. Some have a red worm coiled up burried in the meat. Pull it out and looks like a long piece of red thread. Been eating them. Just wondered what it was.

need help

Several years ago someone posted about cooking steak in a cast iron skillet in the oven. Preheat oven and dry skillet to 500 degrees. Coat meat with light oil and black pepper. I cannot for the life of me remember the cooking time. I love doing it with bacon wrapped backstrap.

I can't get the pics on here. Here are the links ...

I wouldn't get in a hurry from our experience with the hay fields this year. They are bad.

When I was a kid we'd put a small washer behind a field tip a shoot them. Bout like hitting them in the head with a hammer.

Re: Reloading?> is it worth it?

Great advice.
I have a 257 roberts and reload because there are very few factory load options and none of them shoot well in my gun.
I have the Lee kit and never had any problems. I don't like the beam scale though. Get a digital scale. I also don't trust the powder measure. I get it close and weigh ...

I think you can still get the Lee kit pretty cheap. Thats what I started with and still use.

Noticed in the new cabela's shooting that hornady is offering the FTX bullet. They are pricey. Anybody have any load data on them?

Re: Cirque Du Soleil

Wife went today. Said it was good, but not as big of a production as they had in Houston, TX couple years ago. Never been myself so I don't know what the hell she's talking about
