Catching good crappie in a large local pond. Some have a red worm coiled up burried in the meat. Pull it out and looks like a long piece of red thread. Been eating them. Just wondered what it was.

Several years ago someone posted about cooking steak in a cast iron skillet in the oven. Preheat oven and dry skillet to 500 degrees. Coat meat with light oil and black pepper. I cannot for the life of me remember the cooking time. I love doing it with bacon wrapped backstrap.

This is what I came up with. I made a small plaque out of finnished and oiled bodock. Attached skull to the end of a weathered bodock fence post and attached it to plaque. Going to drape with spanish moss to hide screws just have'nt done it yet.

Great advice.
I have a 257 roberts and reload because there are very few factory load options and none of them shoot well in my gun.
I have the Lee kit and never had any problems. I don't like the beam scale though. Get a digital scale. I also don't trust the powder measure. I get it close and weigh ...

I think you can still get the Lee kit pretty cheap. Thats what I started with and still use.

Noticed in the new cabela's shooting that hornady is offering the FTX bullet. They are pricey. Anybody have any load data on them?

Wife went today. Said it was good, but not as big of a production as they had in Houston, TX couple years ago. Never been myself so I don't know what the hell she's talking about
