I'll second the S&W Bodyguard 380. I carry it in the back pocket of my jeans with a "wallet holster". Fits well in my old wranglers but i bought some new ones recently and the pocket is too shallow. Trying to squeeze another dollar out to pay Brett Favre for marketing i guess.

Re: Flashboard riser installation
Thanks for the response Novacaine. You’re correct, planning to use self-tapping bolts to connect the pipe to riser. Also planning to use “great stuff” spray insulation to seal along with silicone if need be on any cracks. I like your idea about the channels and directly anchoring the riser to those ...

Flashboard riser installation
Looking for some do's and don't's of flashboard riser installation.
A little background:
This is a low field alongside a ditch that holds water annually. We've built a levee around the field, now it's time to install the pipe and riser. I've run the runoff calcs, time of concentration, the whole 9 ...

And now i won't sleep tonight. Thanks.
They may not need to eat at these temps, but I imagine if you pissed one off just right he'd have enough energy to bite, and once is all it would take to ruin a morning. Like the OP said, I'd die trying to run away.

Missouri survey they just released said over a million birds on public land alone, so i'll wager it's Missouri.

Sheeze?
What’s the hunting like they were last year? Was it unbelievably crowded or was this a dip-squirt move?
May have been just how I hit it, but I saw a fraction of the people last year compared to the year before at a popular WMA and the numbers back that up. Non-resident WMA permits were ...

We use Link Evo by Spypoint. Night picture quality used to be terrible but they've stepped their game up on later camera models.

Re: MDWFP Commission
I know if I were on the commission I would not have jacked up dove season the way they did this year.
My ideal dove season would be Labor Day weekend until about a week or two before duck season opens. If there’s anything left over you can put it somewhere around Christmas and New Year’s ...

Re: What would you give up?
When I jump out of the truck or loading boat etc. and as we are grabbing stuff I always tell who ever is with me "gun , shells, and dog the rest is just extras." Even though I have a world of gadgets and equipment I believe I could get by without most of it.

Re: Podcast Episodes
Not in this podcast, but in the one with Mr. Pat and Bill talking about reading and calling ducks, I about fell out of my chair laughing when Mr Pat talked about his disdain for gadwalls and how guys would shuck shells to put missiles in when they start working. The highlight was his line talking ...

Re: Worst hunting experience
Not a terrible experience compared to the ones listed above, but a few years ago, opening morning after a real good cold front, I was just getting leaned up against a tree a few minutes before shooting light when i hear my buddy hollering from around the bend where we had parked our boats. I run ...

Re: Worst hunting experience
There's not an animal in the woods worth chancing it over lightning. I too leave my stuff and high tail it when lightning gets close. Was on a surveying crew one summer and got knocked flat on the ground by a strike that hit a tree 30 yards behind me. We could barely hear thunder before that one hit ...
