Wood Duck Boxes

Hello,

I would like to get some more boxes up on our property in NE MS. Is there any kind of program in MS where you can get reduced price on boxes? Just wondering. Thanks.

Re: Hydrilla

Per the link that Denduke posted, it is definitely either hydrilla or Egeria. Do ducks like either of these? Thanks again.

Re: Hydrilla

I think the specks of green floating in am at would be duckweed. This has a long stem and is green and leafy. It could be something else. Not sure.

Hydrilla

The past few seasons the hydrilla has increased a little each year on our beaver pond. This year it has exploded and is very thick. Is hydrilla any good for ducks? Do gadwalls like it? Thanks.

Re: Sago Pondweed

Thanks guys. I have done a lot of research as far as it being a beneficial plant for ducks. Some say it is literally the number one natural food for ducks. I just didn't know if any of you all have tried it in the past or hunted over it. Not sure if it will work this far south. Thanks again.

Sago Pondweed

Has anyone here ever had any luck planting sago pondweed in MS? We tried it this year in a beaver pond but haven't been back to check on it yet.

Re: The Difference Planting Makes...

tuscaloosa,

Thanks for the reply. Sorry for all the questions, but how much of a difference did it make? As in, how many more birds were you able to kill as compared to when it was planted in beans or not planted at all? Thanks man.

The Difference Planting Makes...

Hello, I am new here but I have a question that you might be able to help me with. I have a duck hole about 5 miles from the Miss. River and when we hunt it we have anywhere from several hundred to 1,000+ ducks fly over it. The hole is not planted now. The ducks aren't all that high but they rarely ...
