Laredo Forage Soybeans
The orginal forage soybean. It was brought to the U.S. in 1915. A pretty neat bean with its small seed size, black seed coat, and "hard" seed characteristic. I think it has a fit for waterfowl plantings along with deer. http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn81/Mahannah1/LaredoSoybeans2_zpsf...

Re: Hybrid sunflowers
duckmiser is hitting the nail on the head.
Mycogen is the brand. They do carry both Clearfield and non-Clearfield sunflowers. It will be stated on the bag if they are Clearfield.
Take some pics of your sunflowers. The group would be interested in seeing them.

Re: where to buy winter wheat?
Our wheat is $10.00/50 lb bag. It is GA Gore, cleaned and bagged with good germination. We have Bob oats but are getting in short supply. Both the oats and wheat are grown locally. A wheat and oat mix (about 52% oat and 48% wheat) for $10.00/50 lb bag. We have the wheat and oat cleanings from cleani...

Re: County Elections
He is the Florence area. He owns the welding shop on the SW corner of HWYs 49 and 469. He doesn't know me from Adam, but I walked up to him one night at a function, introduced myself and asked to talk to, which he did. He seemed like a guy that would tell you "how the cow ate the cabbage" ...

Ryano - I don't if your meaning re-sprouting from last year's plant or last year's seed germinating this year. Either way, I will be glad to offer what I know about both. Other's may want to chime in with their experience. Last year's plant will not grow back this year, because the plant is an annua...

Re: Arrowleaf Photos
Tried combining the Winter Peas last week, there wasn't hardly anything there. When these peas turned, they turned quick. It makes me wonder if something or somethings were a factor in the poor yield. Was it no rain or 100 degree temps? When we were cutting our wheat and oats the peas were still gre...

You'll be getting a phone call regarding harvest :D Planted some Austrian winter peas close by and they have got pods on them. The pics below were taken a couple of weeks ago, pre-pods. It is fun watching this stuff grow. http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/g396/SpecialtySeedInc/WinterPeaswithBlooms...

Below are some arrowleaf photos I've taken. SWAG advised me back earlier in the spring on the management of this plot, and it has turned out well. I sprayed it one weekend with Select to kill the grass and mowed it the next weekend to get rid of the broadleaves. It is beginning to bloom good, but I ...

Is he going to make good on it? Are y'all still good friends :) I've experienced what you have but on some Chiwapa millet and conventional soybeans. I didn't even mention to the joining farmers, too good of a frienship to bring it up. Then on another hand a farmer 3/4 mi. away said we got RR drift o...

Re: Food Plot Seed Prices
Trick, I went back and looked at my inventory of wheat and found 12-15 bags of seed wheat that is still available. Its price is $15.00/bag. I believe the variety is Ranger. We grow GA Gore and all of ours was spoken for in July. The Ranger wheat is what we put in the MS Blend, since we sold out of G...

We are in the Jackson, Brandon, Madison, Clinton area just about weekly. If it is a special trip just for a delivery, than we do charge a de...
