Prayres needed

A friend of mine who is a big duck and goose hunter in Illinois has had a double lung transplant and is is in need of your support. He and his family appreciate your prayers.

Thanks,

Tommy

Re: waders

I have a pair of 5mm LaCross big boy waders in break-up with the adjustable straps on the side, size 13 w/1000 grams of thinsulate. These have been used very little. They were left at my duck camp and I kept them as spares in case a guest needed them. I never happened so I will let them go for $100 ...

Re: Lipoma???

My dog HRCH "The Pheebster" (Ret.) has had lipomas for years with no adverse affect. We had one that was deep in her groin removed at MSU because we couldn't tell what it was. It seems to be something older dogs get. Phoebe will be 15 in November.

Re: Browning Belguim Sweet 16 A-5

I asked in the classified a while back but I am looking for a barrel for a Std. 16ga. A5. I bent my dad's 30" barrel last squirrel season. The 16ga. A5 is a nice gun to shoot any game with weather it is a light or standard.

Re: Choke tube problem

I got a rusted in tube out after a "gunsmith" failed to succeed by heating the tube end of the barrel in boiling water (the water evaporates quickly after being removed) and as soon as dry submerging it in a quality penetrating oil past the threads. As the barrel cools it will shrink slightly and ...

Re: Speck Call?

When I bought my Chein Caille a few years ago they made 3 versions, beginner, intermediate and finished. I don't know if they still make 3 versions or not ( they were not nearly as popular then as now ). I bought mine strait from the old man and still use it. I also use an Echo and sometimes a Hadel ...

Re: "Decoy - Start to Finish - Head Carving"

Gator,
Good post.
None of my business, and this head is probably just for demo purposes, but if the grain runs the length of the bill it will be much stronger. Guess how I know.

Re: DU Given $2.5 Million to Shortstop Ducks

Divers generally do not prefer flooded rice fields so deep water habitat would be needed. A duck or any bird for that matter can only land in oil once, I would think, before they would be unable to fly.
Just my $.02 worth.

Re: simple green wing gunner

Justin,
Here are two photos of three generations on working decoys. They all are different but all do the job. I feel sure ducks are not as picky about decoys as we are.

Re: Aftermarket choke tubes?

If you are shooting ducks beyond 30-35 yards you are not a very effective duck hunter. If you want to shoot at extended ranges stick to clay targets.
Just my opinion.

Re: ANY INTEREST IN A DECOY CARVING 'CLASS'?

Justin,
I would suggest a puddler pattern since most on this forum are more familiar with them than they are with divers. Just a thought. Either way the idea is a really good one.
