Also, "hold" is not part of FF, just something I like the dog to be sold in before moving forward to other things. actually, "hold" is every bit a part of FF. the 3 concepts the dog needs to be taught before pressure are "hold", "fetch", and "drop"....

FF on the ground has a distinct advantage. it gives you an opportunity to work on obedience at the same time. in 16 years i have never used a toe hitch or table to FF. I start them on the ground from day 1. the important thing to remember is to "teach" before you apply pressure. i would hi...

I have been training labs for 16 years, 10 as a pro and i will say the collar training is actually an extension of obedience training and, if done correctly, will sharpen the obedience. I will say that 5 months might be a bit young to worry about CC. i would give it a couple months and keep working ...
