Re: Blue Wings
We have killed several this year in the south delta. My buddy picked one up the other day looked at it and said "he must be lost".

Pintails
Saw a bunch in the South Delta this morning, quite a site. Of course they did not respond to the call and calmly all landed about 200 yards from my blind. They are big majestic birds. For Cotten and Cwink, I did manage to scratch out a limit this morning with by bent barrell 870. The saddnes of the ...

Re: Best choke and best load
Good catch there Cwink on the barrel, I did bend it back in 1990 hunting in Panther Swamp, it straigtened out fine and has killed many a duck and dove since then, just have to compensate a little bit. Damn fine cheap gun, sure beats the hell out of a Beretta or Benelli.

Re: Many Thanks to Pelahatchie Dawg and Cotten
Unfortuanetly head pain had nothing to do with shooting problems, they happened again Sunday but not as bad. We enjoyed it and also had some more fun on Sunday with a visit from our friends the Federal Game Wardens, those guys are sneaky but all went well and we ended up having some laughs with them ...

Our worst season ever
18 Ducks all season. No water! Well is on order. We did kill three nice bucks at the duck hole so I guess it wasn't a total loss, two nine's and a ten point.

The worst season ever, very frustrating
Of course we screwed our hole up by trying to improve it with an ag crop during the worst drought in recent years. You live and you learn.

Recipe for sauce to go on venison and duck after grilling?
I am cleaning out the freezer some this weekend to make room for some veggies and will be cooking up some breasts and tenderloin. Does anyone have a good recipe for a sauce I can make to serve over the meat after cooking?
Thanks
