Re: Question about Milo?

Thanks Double R, I got a place where we can control the water in one hole. We dropped the water off slowly exposing the the mud flats and we were right behind it with both jap and browntop millet. I was just wondering if we got one bag milo and mixed it in with the millet would it do any good! I'll ...

Question about Milo?

Not thinking about it for this year already got holes started!

Will milo work well if you broadcast on mud flats like you can with millet, or does it have to be covered with some dirt? Can milo be broadcast in shallow water, 1 inch or less, or are you just wasteing time and money?

Clover?

Want to plant a few fire lanes, short power line and a few roads. How would clover work and what kinds would recommend. I would prefer something that grows back each year with little maintenance. I have access to a small tractor and clipper but not allot of heavy ground breaking equipment. I could ...

Ain't that a heck of a note!

I got more water and ducks on my hole as of today than I had all duck season. I am not lucky enough, (my wife calls me an ole cheap oh), to be able to pump water or be a member in one of those fancy duck only hunting clubs. I have to make my dollar stretch a little farther, have to cover deer, ducks ...

Re: 'Went scouting today

I went yesterday to my hole that for the record, produced 7, thats right seven ducks this year. We did not get enough rain to hold any and what millet came up the deer and geese ate it before water got on it. Well, yesterday it was slap full of water, jumped up about 150 mallards, and a few gadwall ...

Re: Refs

They could not pay enough for me to be a ref. I have a child that plays junior high basketball and I do not always agree with the calls but some parents take it personal if they miss/make a bad call against their child. Its all about opportunity, sportmanship and most of all its a GAME !!!!! My gosh ...

Its Ebenezer and just sw of Lexington and Calvin does have a shady past and history. Also been told that he is a fire bug, Would not trust him as far as I could throw him. I would not be surprised if half of the 1000 he said he had he never had permission to hunt anyway!

Trail Camera for security?

Question gentleman and ladies, I have a small problem with either a tresspasser or a thief looking around my place for something to steal. My little shack is located in the middle 80 acres, its not the Taj Mahal but its mine and I'm not kean about others snooping around.

Which camera (digital ...

I also forgot I have a older 4wheeler that I hunt with, wife is pushing for the Ranger for running around the place and out at the cabin.

I had a 500 6 X 6 and traded for the 700. I wish I had the 500 back. The gear ratio is screwed up in the 700. Its ok on anything except in muddy ...

Which one would you buy?

If you were going to buy a Polaris Ranger, would you buy the 500 or the 700? Now I realize that I am opening myself up to a bunch of wisecracks jokes but give a honest answer. I mainly just do normal riding and hunting, will be traveling on gravel roads, fields, turnrows, (not in delta, so no gumbow ...
