Re: MS River, Tara, and East Carroll Parish

I call flood waters, waters that inundate and area as a result of a flood event, it is impossible to have flood waters if you are not experiencing a flood event. You may be refering to high water, but that aint flood water. If it were mine, I would not want folks coming way into my property, you are ...

Re: MS River, Tara, and East Carroll Parish

Yeah i understand that BR549, but the term "flooded", is in there, and right now the river is not "flooded" so there is now way Anyone could cross a boundry line in flooded waters.. This would be relavant if you were going way into the trees during a flood event. so anything that says Flood or flood ...

Re: MS River, Tara, and East Carroll Parish

BR549,
Which Federal Law would you be refering to? This is a stae law issue anyway, it aint got nothing to do with federal law. MS and LA have different laws regarding this type of issue, I personally like MS stand point, but, hey what can you do? But I wish all the states woudl go by federal law ...

Re: MS River, Tara, and East Carroll Parish

After talking with a person at work about the river and the ordinary low water, I was informed there is no such thing as ordinary low water, there is an average low water and the average low water at Vicksburg is 13' on the gage, which translates to elevation ~68' at Chotard as the average low water ...

I am going to find out what the ordinary low water level is for the river at that area,a dn then get the elevation of that ordinary low water so we can at least get an idea of the areas that are withing the ...

Re: MS River, Tara, and East Carroll Parish

I am going ot try to attach a map that i made that depicts the land that is State Claimed Waters aroudn the end of Lake Chotard. I georeferenced the states map showing the State Claimed Waters over a 2006 NAIP 2 foot aerial image. I don't know if it will work because I have never posted a picture ...

MS River, Tara, and East Carroll Parish

I know I have not posted on here much, I really never posted much at the MDWFP forum, until recently. I was banned from that site for expressing an opinion and trying to get some information out involving what is happening at Lake Chotard with Tara Wildlife and the East Carroll Paarish Sherriff's ...

Re: wolfe lake and broad lake

Who closes them to hunting? They are public waters since you have free public access and you can hunt and fish public waters, the law makes no distinction between the two. I would think you can hunt it. But what do it Know.

Re: Hunting the Missippi River, Any Pointers?

I agree with BR549, if you gotta ask, then you don't need to go. I aint no old timer by no means but i have been on the river my whole life, I go out usually at least once a week, try to anyway, and i got a 17 foot boat with a 50HP, it is plenty. I started out with a 15 ft. tiller handle 25, if you ...

Yeah Bonecollector, like that idiot at Mahanna that rides his boat through other peoples decoys. It's SOB's like that I don't like and want to drown in the woods.
