taxidermy question
have 2 pretty birds. initially thought to eat them so gutted and put in cooler. now wet and gutless, I am having second thoughts of having a dead mount made. would this be possible with wet gutless birds? just a cut below sternum which would be facing the wall on the mount.

Re: OK, I need a gator recipe.....
if truely leg meat (darker), it is probably best used in stew (sauce piquant or gumbo). I personally grind all the leg meat I get each year and make sausage. May also be good ground and used in chilli, however I prefer to grind lighter cuts for chilli. might get away with frying, but I would beat it...

manipulating planted crops prior to seed formation
we have over 300 acres planted mainly with sorghum. we did not leave areas open for landing zones. is it legal to open areas in the sorghum prior to seed head formation? this is my first year with sorghum, what will it do when flooded? will it fall on its own or remain standing in 1-2 ft of water?

growing rice dry
just before last season, sprayed (2,4 d) about 2 acres of perennial smartweed that never seemed to attract birds. during the season, it turned brown as did all of the smartweed in the area. This spring the area I sprayed did not grow as did the other areas. I broadcast rice on the dead smartweed in ...

we have large areas full of red top and fall panicum. legal manipulation includes driving or rolling the areas down, correct? I assume that collecting redtop seeds and dumping them in other areas is illegal? the areas that I have been knocking the grass down with the ranger have been getting lots of...

smartweed 2,4 d
have a 2 acre hole choked with smart weed. I think 2,4d will be a good choice to open a landing hole in it. I know it is late in the game and wonder if this is a good choice? how long will it take to knock it down. I can get a 4 wheeler into the area but not a tractor and disc. any thoughts?
