Re: places to eat chattanoga

Try Taco Mac. There are a couple of them but one is right downtown. Not Mexican food but a really good place to get a beer and a good meal.

Plans for a pit blind?

Anybody ever built a pit blind or had one built by a welder? My buddies and I want to build and/or design it ourselves. Anybody got any plans or designs or know where we can get some?

Re: Any advice on an after-market choke tube?

Thanks for the help. Its actually a Christmas gift for my cousin.

We primarily hunt open water, aka flooded rice and beans, but occasionally some timber.

Re: Outstanding HBO movie - Taking Chance

I have not seen the movie yet so I don't know how much of this is portrayed, but Chance's dad is a fishing guide in Wyoming. Got a buddy who knows him pretty well and fishes with in the Wind Rivers a good bit.

I think he is referring to demand. They are looking to adopt a labradoodle from a shelter.

Re: rice field hunting

Lots of dekes definitely helps, but if you use 15 dozen and the ducks land on the outside of your decoys (which seems to always be my luck) then you're not going to be close enough to get a shot. That has been my experience. Very rarely do they want to land in a small, suspicious looking open water ...

Re: Great Tractor Story

I witnessed a similar thing happen once when my dad started a tractor that way. Fortunately, it wasn't a dual wheel tractor and he was able to jump out of the way. His almost new truck was not.

Re: Suggestions?

Thanks guys and for the tips bruce. She seems to not mind it so much with the dummy, so that seems to be a good place to start. Then I think I'll try a lot of 2 minute holds with some frozen birds.

I'll keep you updated.

Suggestions?

Alright, I know I'm going to catch some slack because she is not force fetched, but my one-year old lab is doing a great job going out and getting the ducks and bringing them back to the blind. Only problem is, she drops it right there. Both blinds we have hunted from so far this season have small d...
