Need Boat Advice

I'm in the boat market, and am looking at a Riverhawk B52 and a Weldbilt 1448. Will likely put a 9.8 or 15 hp motor on whatever I buy. I usually hunt with one or two other people and hunt breaks and sloughs and need something that is light, relatively shallow drafted, and sturdy enough to withstand ...

On the one mile gravel road leading to my duck lease, we counted 42 rabbits crossing the road from WRP land to WRP land. Thus, at least in that small section of Sharkey County, there's no shortage of rabbits.

I suspect that rabbits are subject to the same environmental and natural pressures as ...

Advice on locating land for purchase

I will soon be in the market for some land in the south delta (south of Hwy. 82). Not a big place, maybe 100-250 acres, maybe with a cypress or gum brake and some surrounding fields, or floodable timber with some fields, and maybe river frontage. Any advice on methods of locating land without going ...

Mud Motor on River Hawk or Gheenoe?

Can you use a small mud motor (Go Devil, Mudbuddy, etc.) on a River Hawk or Gheenoe? Also, for you guys that have used these boats in cypress breaks and other areas with stumps, snags, etc., how do they hold up to punishment? Can you break ice with them, or are the hulls too thin/fragile?

You're right, if what is said about him is true, he has comitted felony fraud, and is also guilty of the federal crimes of wire and mail fraud. Under federal wire and mail fraud statutes, he can be sentenced a $10,000 fine and 10 years in prison each time he uses the phone or the mail to cheat ...

I saw the special too. It was well done, but hard to watch another documentary on how bad Mississippi was in the "old days."

Many Mississippi counties have two courthouses. Most of these counties have a river which splits the county in half, and thus two courthouses were needed at the turn of ...

Shotgunning for deer question

:?: :?: After morning duck hunt, I plan on sitting a stand for deer tomorrow on my lease (WRP land). If I use my shotgun and 00 buckshot, what choke should I use; and if I use a slug, what choke? Thanks and good luck and safe hunting tomorrow.

New to Forum/Dog Breeding Question

I'm trying to breed my female lab for the first time. She just turned seven, which I know is a little old, but since she's such a good dog, I wanted to have a litter before she got too old. She's been in heat about a week I believe. I have put her with the male twice, once when she'd been in only ...
