Youth License Question...
Planning on taking a couple youth hunting on the 21st, I will be properly licensed, my question is if the youth's Dad were to come along would he have to be properly licensed as well? From what I see of the regulations it only says that the youths must be accompanied by a properly licensed adult. Ca...

Re: What kind of duck do you think this is ? (Hybrid maybe ?
Could be a Luecistic gadwall, luecisim is reduced pigmintation in animals and does happens with ducks. Where albino is the whole animal luecisim could be limited to portions of an animals body. That could be the case with yours, nice bird. I killed a luecistic gadwall a few years ago, will never see...

Re: Moist soil management questions -
We have a similar problem, we can get in there in May and disk but then with the surrounding irrigation and summer rains it ends up flooding out what we plant. The other problem is if you put a disk to the ground in the summer at our place it just blows up with sickle pod (coffee weed). Is there any...

Re: Show us your habitat!
The brown top was left over and just thrown in there more as an afterthought. More concerned with keeping the sicklepod out of the milo. I am not sure that the atrazine will hurt the millet, anyone else got any input on this?

Re: Show us your habitat!
Here are a couple pics of our plots. The first is a couple acres of chufa we decided to try out this year, sprayed it for the first time with some 2-4DB yesterday. The second is milo with a little brown top mixed in, sprayed it with some Atrizine yesterday. http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p101/JN...

Re: They're somewhere
None in N. Leflore county, don't know where the damn birds are. I would imagine that all the water and river flooding in Arkansas has them scattered up there somewhere. It has progressively gotten worse since opening weekend. I have talked with a bunch of people in our area and everone saying the sa...

Just got back from Sk around the Ituna area, ducks and water everywhere. Four of us hunted for five days and had no problem getting our limits of mallards and pintails everyday. We hunted dry fields of harvested barley and wheat fields, unfortunatly the farmers up there did not plant very many pea f...

Got a bunch of rain a week or so after the pics above and water stayed on the milo too long and killed about half of it, the other half did alright and I did have some jap in with it so at least there will be some food. No recent pics however.

Here are a few pictures of a Sunflower field put in the ground in early May and a couple duck fields planted in WGF sorghum and millet mix in early June. The sunflowers are thick and not very clean, I sprayed the edges and will start mowing strips next month. Notice the deer in the background munchi...
