Not that i know anything, but with a 12 week old pup, I also generally limit retrieves to 2 or 3 and put them up wanting more.

Yeah. Don't get discouraged. These dogs have to learn their jobs. Training and real hunting aren't exactly the same.

Wish Jamma's brother had gotten a little more of that. He's hell on wheels. Lol...I have hunted with her enough to see she is not very independent minded...

The major difference is, I don't attack blinds quite as hard, preferring to handle them into the sweet spot downwind of a bird. Mostly because I don't know where the bird exactly is like in a test/trial.

Personally, I wouldn't touch one. I've judged several "Brit" dogs in HRC and minor stakes in FT's and always find them lacking, but I think it's more the training style. For the record, I never know a dog's origins until after ribbons are handed out. I deliberately do not look at catalogs and judge ...

Is the dog collar conditioned? If so, then I would work on basic OB in the yard with the e-collar.
