The Best Duck Call For Beginners

As long as I can remember, I wanted to learn how to fly. When I grew up, I was going to be a crop duster pilot. Who has a more exciting job than a cropduster? To become a crop duster pilot, you have to have extensive training.  Instructors don’t throw their students in a turboprop cropduster the first day. Most students start off in a Cessna 150. It is not the best thing as a pilot you will ever fly, but the basics are learned there. Calling ducks is the same way. I would never recommend a beginner to buy a RNT Daisy Cutter. The RNT Daisy Cutter is one of the best calls out there, but it is made for an experienced caller.

The call that I recommend for beginners is the Primos Original Wench. It is the Cessna 150 of duck calling. It is not expensive or the fanciest call you would see on Facebook, but it will kill ducks and it is very forgiving in the sounds. As a guide, I have heard hundreds of beginners start out with other calls, but this is the call that made their “quack” sound like a real duck.
