Besides the heart of duck season, is there anything better than spring. I was outside this morning and heard the redbird’s chirping. I asked my wife if she knew what that meant. It told her “it is springtime!” Redbirds are looking for mates and so is my other favorite bird, the turkey. I know this is a duck site, but I am going to mix in some products I use in the turkey woods along with duck products.
The first one I use and recommend is The Avian-X Laydown Hen decoy. This decoy is new to the market this year and so far has had great results with me and some friends using them in Florida’s turkey season. Adding the Avian-X Jake decoy next to her enrages gobblers.
